Banana Nut Bread
300 degrees
2 loaves
4 eggs
5 beeeeeeg bananas
1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
4 cups flour,,,,sifted
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup walnuts, break'm up
In large bowl beat eggs till they scream. Add bananas and beat them again till everybody screams (smooth) and liquidy. In another bowl, cream the shortening and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and banana screamers. Sift flour, baking soda and salt. Add to the rest of the stuff and mix in the nuts.
Bake in 2 loaf pans (8-1/2 x 4-1/2 x 2-1/2). Make sure they're well greased. Leave them in the oven for 75 minutes or until pau. Check with the old toothpick / small chop stick trick and cool on rack for at least 10 minutes or until somebody can't wait and starts buttering the thing.
